Australian DJ Timmy Trumpet has split from his wife Anett Tomcsanyi after five years of marriage.
The musician, 43, who became popular in the 2010s with his 2014 hit Freaks ft. Savage, first met Anett in 2011 at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas.
He proposed to the Hungarian content creator during a livestream in 2020, but it seems their romance has since fizzled out.
Timmy, whose real name is Timothy Jude Smith, shared the news on Instagram in March after rumours began circulating in online forums about the pair.
‘The last year of my life hasn’t been easy to talk about. I haven’t been ready… and I’m not even sure I am now. Anett and I are no longer together,’ he wrote.
‘I’m sharing this because we shared so much of our lives with you. I proposed on a livestream, we stood on stages all around the world… I truly believed that was forever.

‘Life doesn’t always go the way you expect. I won’t pretend it’s been easy. Some days have been harder than others.
‘But I made a decision to keep going, to stay on the road and keep showing up. Over 150 shows across the world and in many ways, that’s what kept me moving forward.
‘At the same time, I stepped away from releasing music. Not because I didn’t have it, but because it didn’t reflect where I was in my life. So I started again.
‘Reconnecting with music became my therapy through all of this. And it’s taken me somewhere very different.’
Timmy went on to say that all the music he releases this year ‘is coming from a real place’, indicating his upcoming beats may be inspired by his split from Anett.
‘This is the most vulnerable I’ve ever felt sharing my music with the world. Through all of this, you guys have been the constant,’ he continued.
‘You’ve given me the strength to keep going, to step on stage and give everything I have. Performing for you is the greatest honour of my life. I’m not perfect. Far from it.
‘But what I’m going through is real and I know a lot of people will understand that in their own way. If any of this connects with you, then it’s all been worth it.’

‘And if not… I’ll see you at the shows. I love you all more than you know,’ he finished.
Anett didn’t announce her split online, but she did post a telling update at New Year.
She shared a photo of herself gazing out over the ocean while holidaying somewhere in Europe.
‘2025, can’t wait to put you behind. What a tough & an emotional rollercoaster year this was,’ she captioned the image.
‘Still grateful for the lessons. Hopeful for the new year. Much love to everyone xx.’
The first signs of trouble between Timmy and Anett emerged in early 2025.
Although the couple frequently featured on each other’s social media, their online interactions began to taper off in February.
Their photos together – including wedding snaps – are still visible on their profiles, but the pair haven’t been seen together in nearly a year.

In recent months, Timmy has been spotted jetting off for DJ gigs abroad – with no sign of Anett by his side.
Meanwhile, Anett, once a regular on Timmy’s tours, has instead been sharing snaps of lavish getaways with friends and her new dog.
Anett revealed in April 2025 she had welcomed a new dachshund puppy into her life, calling it ‘the next big chapter’, with Timmy nowhere to be seen in the photos.
That was also the last month Anett was seen wearing her wedding band and striking diamond engagement ring.
Timmy and Anett no longer follow each other online or appear tagged in one another’s posts – hinting that one, or both, may have hit the block button.
Anett has virtually vanished from social media, with her final post in early March – just a fortnight before Timmy confirmed their split.
The former couple tied the knot in a very lavish ceremony in June 2022.
They shared photos from the nuptials on Instagram, and wrote: ‘AND WE’RE MARRIED! The greatest day of my life.’

Timmy and Anett exchanged vows in front of friends and family at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Halászbástya – commonly known as Fisherman’s Bastion – in Budapest.
The DJ memorably proposed to his partner during a music set in July 2020.
In a song transition moment when Anett would normally join him on stage, Timmy dropped to one knee and proposed before a cheering crowd.
The romantic moment was streamed live on social media.
