Hugh Jackman has been slammed by his own fans for posting a loved-up photo with girlfriend Sutton Foster at the premiere of his new film.
Posting to Instagram on Thursday, the Wolverine star, 57, uploaded a smiling snap alongside his girlfriend at AMC Lincoln Square 13 in New York, adding the caption: ‘And we’re off to the premiere of Death of Robin Hood’.
In the image, a beaming Hugh was seen wrapping his arm around the waist of his 51-year-old lover, as she ecstatically threw one arm up in the air.
Hugh’s relationship with the Younger star has been the centre of scrutiny since they went public in January 2025 – a year after his split from longtime wife Deborra-Lee Furness – and the comments beneath this photo proved the backlash is far from quieting down.
‘I see your pics I think of how heartbroken Deb must be,’ one user wrote, as another added: ‘This is so cringy.’
‘Bro, stop posting pictures with her. Literally no one supports this relationship,’ as someone else commented: ‘I’m sure this will be over soon.’

‘My hubby of 40 years even said for the first time of any celebrity break up that he would never, ever watch anything you are in again!’ yet another wrote.
However, there were plenty of fans who rushed to defend Hugh’s new romance, with one commenting: ‘I love that you two are together. Two of my Broadway faves – what could be better than that?!’
‘Anyone complaining is just upset that soulmates aren’t a real thing,’ another added, as someone else concurred: ‘Everyone deserves happiness.’
‘Great to see you so happy. Don’t listen to the negative jealous people,’ someone else chimed in.
Last month, Jackman was slammed for attending this year’s Met Gala in New York City with Foster.
The actor’s shock move was seen as a brutal final blow to his ex-wife when they arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, tenderly holding hands as they posed for photos.
The actor finalised his divorce from Furness last June, after 27 years of marriage, while his romance with Foster began in late 2024, following their starring roles in Broadway’s 2021 revival of The Music Man.
Jackman and his ex-wife previously attended multiple Met Galas, with their last joint appearance being in 2023.
