She’s been named model of the year on numerous occasions, starred in Beyoncé videos and the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics, and appeared in campaigns for all the big names from Burberry to Yves Saint Laurent, racking up almost four million Instagram followers and a spot on the Forbes’ highest-paid models list along the way.
Not bad for a girl who, as a teenager, considered herself “tall and lanky”, before being spotted by a model agency scout at the Hammersmith store of Primark.
But what gives with the seemingly unstoppable and glamorous Jourdan Dunn’s business ventures?
The question is prompted by the fact that the 35-year-old socialite’s clothing line company Silly Rabbit Ltd is being placed into liquidation, with debts totaling almost 750,000 pounds, including 173,453 pounds in unpaid VAT.
Even more concerning is a 561,870-pound deficit in the company’s past due corporation taxes.
Such an outcome is certainly surprising, given Jourdan’s ability to earn millions of pounds for advertising campaigns, as evidenced by the most recent accounts of her company, which show that as of June 30, 2024, its bank account holds 706,373 pounds – nearly enough to cover the company’s liabilities.
Jourdan’s representatives have so far declined to comment on the situation, with her publicist remaining silent on the issue, which has raised many questions about the supermodel’s financial commitments.

Morrissey: My misery in the Maldives
Actor David Morrissey has confessed to himself that whenever he goes on holiday he feels guilty about it.
The “Walking Dead” star, who was born in Liverpool to a cobbler father and a mother who owned a hairdresser’s shop, finds it difficult to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
“I had this really posh holiday in the Indian Ocean, and I felt really guilty about it,” says David, 61, in one of his recent interviews.
“It was quite fabulous, except that whenever I was lying there in the sun, I was thinking, ‘I can’t believe how much this is costing me!'”
“I felt guilty about spending all this money, and it was such a stupid guilt, really,” adds the actor, who has three children with his ex-wife, novelist Esther Freud. “I mean, if I had paid for it myself, I might have enjoyed it more, but I could not get past this feeling of, ‘Oh my God, isn’t this expensive?’ It was ridiculous!”
Morrissey went on to say that booking the holiday in the Maldives was a bit of a shock for him, too.
“I feel tortured when I go on holiday, but it’s not like I could afford many.
If I can’t enjoy the things in life that I love, then what’s the point of loving them?”
It’s not the first time Morrissey has spoken about his fears on this count, with his previous comments on the matter making headlines in the press.
