Gemma Arterton has revealed she has secretly welcomed her second child with husband Rory Keenan.
The couple, who married in 2019, are already parents to their son, whom they welcomed in 2024.
While she didn’t reveal the gender or name of their newborn, Gemma described how she has been getting on with early motherhood again.
Speaking on this week’s Dish podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett OBE, Gemma opened up about becoming a mum again.
‘Um, I’ve just had another kid, and so I’m in the thick of that’, she explained. ‘But, but it’s all lovely.’
‘And, um, getting back into it again. You know, coming back from the brink of exhaustion, you know. You know, but it’s all good’, Gemma said.
Gemma moved to the countryside away from busy London four years ago with her husband and has loved it ever since.
‘So you can’t get good sushi where we are. On your doorstep’, she laughed. ‘Miss– We–always talk about that. You can get it like that. It’s a gastropub vibes.’

She added: ‘So that’s why I asked Angela to do pasta today, because I don’t think you can get good pasta around where we are. But you do get good roasts.
‘Can’t have it all, so we accept that. Um, and we don’t get like, um, Deliveroo or anything.
‘We used to spend so much money when we lived in London on takeaways, and now we don’t ever get a takeaway. So, you know, it’s weird. Rory does all the cooking.’
The actress – who tied the knot with Peaky Blinders star Rory in a secret ceremony in 2019 – said in previous interviews that she was unsure about having children.
‘I don’t think you can ever plan the right, exact time,’ she told The Times in 2013.
‘I don’t feel ready for kids because I want to know that I can come back and still be valuable to the industry.’
‘That’s only going to happen when I feel a little bit more accomplished… or at least when I’ve accomplished something of which I’m proud.’
Gemma shot to fame after she beat 1,500 other hopefuls to the role of Strawberry in Quantum of Solace, who becomes romantically involved with the MI6 agent, played by Daniel Craig.
The actress got her career off to a flying start when she was awarded a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art at 18-years-old.

She went on to star in a number of productions including St Trinian’s, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Clash Of The Titans.
Last month, ITV dropped a ‘chilling’ first trailer for its new spy thriller Secret Service – starring Gemma in the lead role.
Based on Tom Bradby’s novel, the show’s premise takes place amid rising geopolitical tensions.
A synopsis for the series reads: ‘Suspenseful, topical and deeply rooted in today’s political landscape, Secret Service delves into long-standing tensions between and the UK, posing urgent questions about the extent of Russian interference in British politics.’
Gemma plays Kate Henderson, a senior MI6 officer married to Stuart (Rafe Spall), with two teenage children.
