Singer Bailey Zimmerman will not face felony criminal charges in connection with his alleged destruction of an Albuquerque, New Mexico hotel room last month.

Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman told the Daily Mail in a statement Thursday that ‘the criminal matter’ against the country music artist, 26, ‘was dismissed,’ as ‘full restitution was made’ to the hotel for damages.

Zimmerman’s lawyer told the outlet that the singer’s admission of his mistake and accountability played a factor in the decision, telling KRQE ‘charges were dropped after Bailey took immediate responsibility for his mistake.

‘We are grateful to the Pueblo of Sandia and the District Attorney’s Office for this just and swift resolution.’

The musical artist had been on the hook for potential charges including criminal damage to property over $1,000 and false obtaining of services, according to TMZ, which was first to report the news.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Zimmerman for further comment on the story.

The incident occurred May 27, when the singer canceled a show at the Sandia Resort & Casino, as damages to the room were estimated to be around $16,000, while a $400 alcohol tab was unpaid.

Officials on June 18 issued an arrest warrant for Zimmerman, who filed paperwork on June 22 calling for a speedy trial.

An arrest warrant the Daily Mail reviewed indicated that Zimmerman’s May 27 show had been called off after Zimmerman had been ‘exhibiting signs of intoxication’ and lost his footing on the stage.

Zimmerman previously issued a statement to the Daily Mail making clear he was apologetic over the series of events which unfolded.

‘First things first, I want to apologize to the Pueblo of Sandia and to everyone at Sandia Resort & Casino,’ Zimmerman said. ‘I never meant for any of this to come across as disrespectful. I am deeply sorry for my actions that transpired.’

He continued, ‘I respect your community and the hospitality and appreciate the opportunity that was given to me to perform on Native Land.

‘I take full accountability for everything that happened and I am sorry to anyone who feels hurt or disrespected.’

Zimmerman added, ‘To my fans who bought tickets and showed up expecting a performance, I am so sorry, you deserved better from me.
