The neon style appears to be one of Kate’s favourites. She first wore it for a public appearance during a royal tour of Jamaica in 2022, the vibrant shade serving as a nod to the colours of the Jamaican flag, then reached for it again for an appearance at the Wimbledon Ladies’ Finals later that year. Four years on, the Princess is once again demonstrating the power of a well-timed rewear, proving that sunshine-yellow works just as well at Ascot as it does at SW19.
The colour yellow has long been key to Kate’s wardrobe – she memorably arrived in Sydney in 2014 wearing a dress in a similar hue while carrying a baby Prince George in her arms. But then, the Princess never shies away from a dose of joyful colour, whether in a royal-blue Eponine coat dress, playful polka-dot Rodarte, or summery Roksanda to brighten an unseasonably dull June day.
