Howard Stern’s wife Beth said she played an ‘influential’ role in his decision to re-up with SiriusXM last year.

Beth, 53, appearing on Andy Cohen Live Wednesday, was asked about what impact she had on her A-list spouse’s December decision to continue with the satellite broadcasting company in signing a three-year extension.

Cohen asked Beth, ‘Every time there’s a renegotiation that comes up with Sirius, what is your role in that? Do you try to steer him in a certain direction?’

The Pittsburgh native, a model, author and animal rights activist, responded, ‘Yes – and I feel I’m very influential.’

Beth said of her spouse, 72, ‘I feel that it’s very good for him to continue [broadcasting] … he still enjoys doing it; he’s still, I think, very good at it.’

Beth said she feels that her husband continuing with his show – which he has done from home since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic more than six years ago – keeps him ‘connected’ into what’s happening in the world.

‘Because sometimes when he’s off for the summer and there’s a big event that happens in the world, I’m listening to his thoughts in the morning – and he’s got a lot of them – and I think he needs his outlet.’

Cohen reminded Beth that Howard can go on the air and address his audience at any time he wishes, with the state-of-the-art broadcasting studio installed in his home.

‘With all due [respect], all he has to do is go to the basement, press power, and go on,’ he told Beth, who replied, ‘We have done that before.’

Beth said she thinks Howard made the right call in continuing on with his show on the satellite platform, who he’s been with for two decades.

‘I think his new schedule is working out really well for him. I think he’s very happy with it, so yay Sirius.’

Beth referred to a prank the King of All Media orchestrated last summer amid reports of his then-unclear future at the company, claiming he was handing his show to Cohen.

‘And how fun was that when you “replaced him?”‘ she asked Cohen, who said it ‘was very exciting’ to be involved in the bit.

Stern in December took to the airwaves to reveal he would continue with the series.

‘I am happy to announce that I have figured out a way to have it all,’ Stern said. ‘More free time and continuing to be on the radio. Yes, we are coming back for three years.

‘I do like my days off. You know me, I’m never bored. I’m busy every minute.’

Howard and Beth are set to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary next year.

He was previously wed to Alison Berns for 21 years prior to their 1999 split, with much of the relationship chronicled in Stern’s 1997 feature film Private Parts. The former couple are parents to three children.

Controversial media personality Anthony Cumia (formerly of the Opie & Anthony show) previously said that Howard lost credibility with his fans for the starry direction his personal life took after ascending into fame and fortune.

Cumia called it ‘the epitome of irony’ that Stern pursued a relationship with a model nearly two decades his junior, after years of relentlessly hammering late radio rival Don Imus for similar life decisions.

Cumia said in a February 10, 2021 broadcast on his Compound Media platform that the relatability Stern portrayed to his fanbase began withering ‘when he got that divorce that none of his fans are able to get – especially with three kids.

He continued, ‘And you got a trophy wife …. you marry this girl is very attractive, much younger than yourself, people are probably gonna think, like, “How much how much of the rest is bulls***?”

Cumina said, ‘And I think that, that was a big turning point in how the fans looked at Howard.’

Beth, who appeared to promote her latest book Coco and Stephen, Together Forever: How a Kitten and Bunny Became Best Friends, was recently referenced in a wrongful termination lawsuit filed by a former live-in executive assistant against the couple.

Plaintiff Leslie Kuhn said in court filings reviewed by the Daily Mail that the celebrity pair presided over a toxic workplace in the years she worked for them.

Kuhn said Beth ran an ‘irresponsible and untenable’ animal rescue nonprofit that put ‘immense pressures on the household.’

She told the court that contractual clauses were put in place to conceal the couple’s ‘massively disorganized and questionable business operations.’

Attorneys for the couple denied the allegations, calling Kuhn’s request for $2.5 million in damages a ‘transparent sham.’

Stern’s lawyer Ilene Farkas said in a statement: ‘We are not going to play this out in public.

‘The Sterns are entitled to enforce non-disclosure agreements signed by employees who enter their home and their private life, and they have filed a motion to address the lawsuit and the conduct of Ms. Kuhn and her lawyer.’
