Melanie Chisholm’s model boyfriend Chris Dingwall proved to be her number one fan as he told her he was ‘insanely proud of her’ in a sweet Instagram message.
The singer, 52, released her new 13-track album Sweat at the start of the month, after a six-year hiatus from the recording studio.
Chris took to Instagram and wrote: ‘Insanely proud of this woman. The hardest working, most talented human I know releases her 9th solo album today, and it is b****y brilliant. Honestly, maybe her best yet.
‘No one deserves the success I’m sure is coming your way more than you do.
‘SWEAT if you haven’t got your hands on it yet… get on it :)’.
Touched by the compliment, Mel wrote in the comment section: ‘Thank you my darling. I love you.’

Mel went public with Chris in 2024 after months of speculation about their romance.
Mel keeps her love life largely out of the spotlight but previously spoke about how she was banned from dating in the early days of the Spice Girls – while her bandmates were free to pursue romances.
‘Looking back what struck me was it was one rule for one and another for the others, right?’ she previously said.
‘I think when you are vulnerable as well, people go, I don’t think it’s good for you’.
Mel said the rule for the other women was, ‘she is fine, she can have a boyfriend, she can cope with having a boyfriend, she is strong enough but you are not’.
‘It makes you question yourself when you are already vulnerable,’ Mel added.
Chris, who is from Sydney, Australia, is signed with modelling agencies Ford Models and Chadwick.
He often travels the world for glamorous photoshoots – so won’t have much trouble keeping up with Mel’s busy lifestyle travelling.

An online biography for the model explains that Chris has ‘over 20 years of print, commercial and film work with some of the world’s best brands’ under his belt – suggesting he is in his 40s.
As well as modelling, Chris is also an actor, writer and director for film and television.
He has helmed a handful of short films, including the St Kilda Film Festival entry Oasis, in which he also starred in.
He also directed two episodes of the Australian miniseries Brock, about car racing legend Peter Brock, and has a number of upcoming film projects in post-production.
