As the co-host of the BBC‘s What Not To Wear, Trinny Woodall pulled no punches in telling women how to dress.

But the tables have turned and she’s now been given a dressing-down by her friend Davina McCall for her dowdy, largely grey, collection of knickers.

In an online video, Trinny, 62, who split from art collector Charles Saatchi in 2023, tells Davina: ‘This is my underwear drawer – you can tell I haven’t had a relationship for three years.’

But after Masked Singer star Davina, 58, told her, ‘You owe it to yourself to wake up every morning and put on the ‘boss’ underwear’, Trinny posed online in sensual black lingerie.

Captioning her latest post, Trinny wrote: ‘How many of you see your friends in sexy underwear but think, “not for me”…? I’m sure many of you will relate when I say I’d rather be comfortable than feel like I have a cheese grater up my bottom.

‘I have to say that a recent catch-up with @davinamccall has really shifted my perspective.

‘After navigating some life-threatening challenges, Davina has reached a place where she actively prioritises her identity as a sensual woman, and she reminded me that feeling fabulous in one’s knickers is a private joy that we can do entirely for ourselves.

‘It made me realise that I don’t embrace the softer, feminine side of myself as much as I perhaps ought to… Time to push the boat out a little bit…’

Responding to the TV personality’s Instagram post, an impressed Davina wrote: ‘That’s my girl.’

Trinny recently vowed not to ‘disappear’ as she ages and has said that she’s ‘never happy’ despite the success of her £200million beauty empire.

The entrepreneur spoke about ageing in a new interview and told how she is prioritising her health and wellness as she gets older.

Speaking to Good Housekeeping UK, she said she hates it when people say ‘can’t you just age gracefully?’, as she insisted that ‘there should be no rules’ when it comes to ageing.

Trinny also said that energy, not age, defines how often women are seen, explaining: ‘When women are tired, we disappear. When we’re full of energy, people notice us.

‘I’m very aware that my mum died of Alzheimer’s and she also had osteoporosis – I want to be able-bodied, rather than incapacitated, so I’m doing everything I can to stay well.’

During the interview she also spoke about never being fully satisfied with her success despite having a multimillion pound business Trinny London.

She said: ‘I’m never happy. I’m not unhappy, because it’s important to acknowledge how far we’ve come.’

Davina was among the first to comment on Trinny’s latest social media post on Monday

It comes after Trinny revealed her incredible abs while revealing the secrets to her 10-minute workout regime in a new post to fans.

The fashion influencer and beauty brand owner shared a new video with her followers as she wore her workout clothes for the exercise.

She could be seen in a sports bra and leggings, as she held weights on either arm while stepping onto her vibrating plate.

Walking fans through her workout, Trinny said: ‘I haven’t done exercise for a week. And it makes me think, you know, I just want to keep the energy that I get from exercise.

‘So this is my 10 minute workout. I will go on my vibrating plate and what I like about the vibrating plate is it’s really good for my lymph, I can sometimes have a sluggish lymph.

‘And also if you have any osteoporosis in your family because it’s very good for bone density, and this is my made up exercise, by the way.

‘I then do a little calf raising because I just think strength for my ankle is balance, and I just do these up quickly and then down slowly.

‘Look at something in front of you because it can be quite difficult on the balance. And then I might just do some arm raise at the same time like that. Keep them in the flow.’
