For any couple, celebrating 14 years of marriage is surely an impressive feat.
But for Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake – who recently suffered fresh embarrassment after footage from his DWI arrest was released – their relationship has publicly faced its ups and downs over the years.
There was, of course, Timberlake’s stumbling through sobriety tests, the questionable pictures with his younger co-star and renewed criticism for his alleged treatment of his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears after the release of her memoir.
Indeed, he has experienced what some might describe as a fall from grace. So, it would be understandable to wonder exactly how Biel, 44, feels about her husband’s mounting indiscretions.
After all, the family’s permanent relocation from the prying eyes of Los Angeles to the remote mountains of Montana may signal that Biel is far more interested in living a private life than her headline-making husband, 45.
While Biel has ‘turned a cheek’ to some of Timberlake’s public scandals, sources tell the Daily Mail, that could soon change.

Biel, one source said, ‘has issued an ultimatum’ to Timberlake: Clean up his act, or she’ll leave.
The source claimed the actress has ‘had it’ with some of Timberlake’s recent behavior – including a recent trip to Las Vegas to host the 8AM Invitational golf tournament at the Wynn resort – especially after the release of his DWI bodycam footage in March.
One more slip-up, the source said, and Biel will ‘pull the trigger.’
At the time of his arrest in Sag Harbor, New York, in June 2024, officers pulled Timberlake over for driving through a stop sign and veering onto the wrong side of the road.
Footage showed Timberlake telling officers he had only had ‘one martini and I followed my f***ing friends home’ before complaining about the sobriety tests and being treated ‘like a criminal’ and trying to explain that he was on a world tour.
Timberlake pleaded guilty to impaired driving in September 2024 and agreed to a $500 fine, 25 hours of community service and a 90-day suspension of his license. He also agreed to give a public safety announcement about the dangers of drunk driving as part of the plea deal that brought down his initial misdemeanor charge to a noncriminal traffic violation.
‘There’s not much more she can take,’ our source said of Biel, claiming that Timberlake is ‘never home’ despite his world tour wrapping last summer.
‘She does everything with the kids and she’s sick of being publicly embarrassed.’

A second insider told the Daily Mail: ‘Justin is the kind of guy that when he’s out, has always had a drink in his hand. Even back in his NSYNC prime, at his restaurant, on tour, he always liked to have a good time.
‘When he proposed to Jessica she basically told him to settle down or she was out. She’s not afraid to give him an ultimatum, but I don’t see her leaving him anytime soon.
‘They have been through a lot of deeply personal things together that have brought them closer. But it’s like she doesn’t know where he is or what he’s doing half the time when she’s not with him.’
Representatives for Timberlake and Biel did not respond to the Daily Mail’s request for comment.
The couple, who first met in 2007, began an on-and-off relationship that spanned four years until their brief split in March 2011. They reconciled by November that year and Timberlake proposed to Biel the following month.
They were married in the south of Italy in October 2012 and now share two sons: Silas, 11, and Phineas, five.
Biel and Timberlake’s relationship, however, faced increased scrutiny when photos of Timberlake holding hands with his younger co-star Alisha Wainwright, 36, surfaced in 2019.
The actors, who portrayed on-screen lovers, were pictured together sitting in the corner of the balcony at a bar in New Orleans while filming their football-themed drama, Palmer.

Timberlake later apologized to Biel for his ‘strong lapse in judgement,’ acknowledging that he ‘drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior.’
‘I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that,’ he said in a statement.
It seems the pair have certainly made an effort to prove all is well throughout the last few years, sharing tributes to one another on birthdays and anniversaries, with the actress describing Timberlake as her ‘best friend’ in an interview with InStyle in May last year.
Perhaps the family’s move from Los Angeles to their Montana sanctuary has also played a role in their lasting union.
Shortly after welcoming their son Silas, Timberlake and Biel decided to make their Montana home their primary residence to ‘create some normalcy’ for their children.
On SiriusXM’s Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa in 2024, Biel explained the reason for their move: ‘We want to share our family with our loved ones and friends and also, we understand that our job has this major public-facing element, so we understand that part of it, but also these kids didn’t choose this.’
The couple previously listed their 13,000 sq ft home in the exclusive Hollywood Hills for $35 million in October 2021, but the listing was removed in January the following year.
They also listed their 27-acre property in Tennessee for $10 million in August 2023, selling the ranch for $8 million in June 2024.
Their Montana sanctuary is situated in the private Yellowstone Club estate, nestled in the mountains of Big Sky and home to a slew of celebrities like Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and former NFL player Tom Brady.
Apart from its scenic views, the home also offers some much-needed privacy, as the Yellowstone Club has an estimated initiation fee between $300,000 and $400,000 and costs around $40,000 in yearly dues.

A second source told the Daily Mail: ‘Jessica is really happy with her life in Montana. She hates Los Angeles and New York and loves everything about where she’s at. Justin travels a lot and she lets him do his thing.’
Biel has been busy with work, having starred in TV series The Better Sister last year and the critically acclaimed Candy in 2022. She was also on location in Morocco, Slovakia and Hungary in early 2025 for the upcoming action-adventure, Matchbox the Movie.
Meanwhile, Timberlake wrapped his Forget Tomorrow world tour – which kicked off in April 2024 – in February last year. That was followed by a series of festival dates which concluded in July.
Apart from Timberlake’s DWAI, the 121-date tour was also plagued with multiple last-minute cancellations allegedly due to illness, slashed ticket prices to embarrassingly low amounts and accusations of ‘lackluster’ performances.
Meanwhile, Timberlake was dealing with the fallout from Spears’s memoir, The Woman in Me, in which the pop sensation claimed that Timberlake cheated on her during their relationship and that she had an abortion at 19 because he ‘wasn’t ready’ to be a father.
Timberlake, who dated Spears from 1999 to 2002, did not respond to the allegations, but he hinted at how he felt during a concert when he told fans he was ‘apologizing to absolutely nobody.’

After wrapping his festival dates in July, Timberlake revealed he had been diagnosed with Lyme disease. He said the condition – a bacterial infection that can be spread to humans by infected ticks – was so ‘relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically’ that he had considered scrapping the tour altogether.
On Instagram, Biel commemorated the end of her husband’s tour with a compilation of videos taken behind the scenes at his shows, along with a heartfelt caption.
‘There’s truly nothing this man can’t do. It’s been so special to watch you, listen to you, and be alongside you for this tour. One last show tonight, give it all you’ve got. I am the proudest,’ she wrote.
Our second source maintained that Biel will continue to support her husband and their relationship, even if it means occasionally turning a blind eye to some of his public scandals.
‘Despite the ups and downs in the press, she will always stand by him and their relationship,’ they said.
‘She kind of turns a cheek to everything,’ they added. ‘She loves him a lot.’
