Scarlett Moffatt admitted she was devastated to leave I’m A Celebrity, leaving an all-male final.
The Gogglebox star was eliminated on Thursday night’s show, after coming last in the trial, Keep Your Eye on the Ball.
Scarlett, 35, said she was ‘gutted’ to bow out at the last minute, leaving Mo Farah, 43, Harry Redknapp, 79, Adam Thomas, 37, and Craig Charles, 61, in the running to be crowned Legend by the public.
She said: ‘I’m gutted that it’s four blokes left. I wanted to do it for the girls! I’ll let them enjoy their football chat around the table.’
Viewers took to X to complain about the show’s format, believing other celebrities deserved to be part of the final four instead.
They wrote: ‘Raging for Scarlett as she comes across as a genuine person and was fun in camp’;
‘Hate this format of the show. These trials have been so harsh. A few that should have been in the final aren’t. It’s been a rollercoaster.’
Scarlett Moffatt admitted she was devastated to leave I’m A Celebrity, leaving an all-male final
‘ITV you need to change the format of this all stars South Africa one. It needs to be so the public can vote throughout the show as normal. You making decisions based on trials is not it’.
‘I wanted Scarlett to win!’
The trial saw the celebrities have to sit in individual compartments as three different-coloured balls traveled through clear pipes. They had to track the count for each colour while facing various unwelcome distractions.
Scarlett broke down in tears as Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealed she was furthest from the correct total which meant she had to leave immediately.
The television personality, who won the 2016 series, compared her journey in South Africa to her first stint.
She said: ‘Last time I felt like a bit of an imposter. I was only twenty-five, I didn’t really know where my place was or who I was as a person. I enjoyed it, but a lot of the time I felt overwhelmed.
‘Whereas this time around, I know who I am so I just enjoyed it and went in there less intimidated.
‘The campfire chats are what I’m going to miss the most. You have so much time in there, with no distractions, all you do is chat and reflect. Sir Mo Farah is such an amazing soul. I couldn’t get over how forgiving he was, how kind he was. I think he’s made me a better person.’

Meanwhile, hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have confirmed that the whole I’m A Celebrity cast will in fact be at the live final on Friday night after a drama-filled series
Of why is was better this time around, Scarlett said: ‘Everyone was eccentrically wonderful and so different. Because we’d all done it before, there was some sense of calm. We weren’t constantly on edge, because we knew our way around camp life.’
Scarlett said she wanted Mo to be crowned Legend in the live final, set to air on Friday night.
‘Even if I’d got into the final, I’d have said to people, “If you were thinking of voting for me, you should vote for Mo.”
‘Nobody deserves it as much as him. I really do hope he wins.’
While hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly ‘confirmed’ that the whole I’m A Celebrity cast would reunite at the live final on Friday night, Beverley Callard has said she won’t attend on medical grounds.
She said in an Instagram video from her current home in Dublin: ‘Yesterday, I should have flown to England to get ready for the I’m A Celeb final.
‘I was so excited and looking forward to it but on medical advice, I can’t go, I am absolutely gutted.
‘I was dying to see them all and it would have been brilliant. I can’t go and yesterday, the flights were booked and everything but no, they said, it is basically too long a day with flying there and then a very late night, so here I am.
‘I will be watching and I will be on Zoom chatting to everybody. So I’ve got to make the best of a bad job but I am resting and I am doing as I am told. Thanks to everybody.’
She penned in the caption of the post: ‘A last minute change of plans…Absolutely gutted but I know it’s for the best. Resting up and getting well is more important at the moment.’
Speaking before Beverley’s post, Ant and Dec said at an ITV showcase during a Q&A: ‘We’ve got the live final tomorrow night, that is going to be interesting, we’re getting them all back together, apparently they are all coming…
Viewers took to X to complain about the show’s format, believing other celebrities deserved to be part of the final four instead
‘They are all coming, we are not in the WhatsApp group, but we will see how it goes…’.
The show was filmed in South Africa last September but has been airing on ITV for past few weeks – and things will come to a conclusion with the winner crowned on Friday.
It comes after the David Haye and Adam Thomas bullying row and questions over whether Jimmy Bullard would even attend after he also clashed with Adam before his dramatic departure from the show earlier this week.
On Tuesday, it was reported that the final had been thrown into chaos as Jimmy faced losing 20 per cent of his show fee if he refused to appear at the final.
It was thought that the former footballer, 47, would not show up following his explosive argument with the actor .
The pair locked horns during a Bushtucker Trial during filming in South Africa last year when Jimmy refused to do a trial and put Adam’s place on the show at risk since they were partnered up for the task.
Adam did end up remaining however, while Jimmy left after their blazing row.
During the trial, Jimmy decided he had enough and said the show’s famous phrase to end the trial.
However, Adam, who was also competing with his campmate, was left furious and shouted: ‘Jimmy, are you f***ing taking the p***? I am in there getting covered in f***ing ants.’
Jimmy replied: ‘Woah, calm down. That’s pathetic.’
Speaking at the ITV Showcase event in London on Thursday night Ant and Dec gave an update on the final and who was set to attend
Beverley Callard has revealed that she won’t be attending the live final on medical advice – after being forced to quit the show due to ill health before being diagnosed with breast cancer
The series was pre-recorded in Kruger National Park last year, with the actress, 69, forced to leave on medical grounds after ‘a funny turn’
Now she is still in her treatment and fighting her cancer and gave an update on Thursday ahead of the final which is being filmed in London and hosted by Ant and Dec
It is understood the pair are still not on speaking terms.
A source told The Sun earlier this week: ‘It’s a very sad turn of events. Both men acted in a way they’re not proud of.
‘It’s so bad, in fact, that Jimmy says there’s no way he’ll be turning up on Friday, which means he won’t be paid his full show fee.
‘Jimmy snubbed going to the All Stars press launch last month so everyone knows he’s serious.’
The Daily Mail contacted representatives of Jimmy Bullard and ITV for comment.
Their campmates Gemma Collins, Scarlett Moffatt, Ashley Roberts, Harry Redknapp and co with also be there at the final.
Adam has since broken his silence on the fiery scenes between him and Jimmy and admitted he regrets the way he acted during the challenge, putting his outburst down to the ‘random’ nature of Jimmy quitting the series.
He said: ‘It was just really random and unexpected to be honest. I didn’t see it coming.
‘Safe to say, I don’t think I was too happy about it. The fact I felt like I was leaving because of someone else just really broke my heart more than anything, as I wanted to do my kids proud.
‘Emotions can get the better of you in there and in hindsight, I probably would never have reacted the way I did but I was just really upset.’
Meanwhile, David Haye has reignited his feud with Adam this week, and in his latest swipe, claimed the star was earning between ‘£20-25k a day’ for his stint in the jungle.
David has been accused of ‘bullying’ after a series of swipes towards Adam were aired, which, in one instance, saw him brand the actor ‘useless’ for excusing himself from a trial due to his health.
Adam suffers from autoimmune condition psoriatic arthritis and struggled with fatigue and dehydration during his time in camp but David insisted ‘obviously it means he comes from a very soft, padded lifestyle, life gets way tougher than that.’
Whilst David has says he didn’t know about Adam’s health issues, he says ‘he couldn’t care less’ because ‘everyone’s got something’ and the actor was ‘jumping around, dancing’ in camp.
‘If that’s what breaks him, obviously it means he comes from a very soft, padded lifestyle,’ David told The Sun in a scathing takedown. ‘It’s probably £20,000-£25,000 per day for being in that jungle. So to get up and do some trial or doing whatever, how is that hard?”
Adam has since revealed he is receiving therapy following his jungle run-in with David.
The actor broke down whilst recording his podcast with his brothers Ryan and Scott and said the row ‘f***ed’ with him.
On Tuesday it was reported that the final had been thrown into chaos as Jimmy faced losing 20 per cent of his show fee if he refused to appear following his tense departure from the show
David and Adam had a fractious relationship during their time together in the South African jungle, which was filmed in September last year
There are likely to be tensions between David and Adam. On Thursday David shared a vile reaction to the ‘bullying’ row with Adam in a new swipe ahead of the show’s final
‘I’m in therapy now because, like it’s f***ed with me mentally because I just thought, “How is this happening? I’m a 37-year-old man”. I’m like, “How am I letting some other person do this to me in here?”‘ he said.
I’m A Celebrity hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly said they were left ‘uncomfortable’ by the exchanges in rare comments on spin-off series Unpacked.
Ant said: ‘It’s not a nice watch. He just kind of picks and picks at them.
‘Adam has had a bit of a tough time and he’s not coping well. Clearly the banter has got too much. But David won’t stop.’
Dec agreed: ‘It’s kind of crossed the line from banter. I don’t find it comfortable to watch.’
I’m A Celebrity South Africa airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
