Olivia Munn has called out one of her male co-stars for his sexist behavior.

The Predator actress, 51, recalled how the ‘obnoxious’ actor refused to film a scene where her character would save him, during her Wednesday appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.

‘There have been a few times where I’ve been filming something, and my character was either like CIA, or a cop, or something, and there’s been scenes where my character has been the one to save the other character,’ she said, noting that the scene featured her and her co-star – whom she didn’t name – fighting their enemies in a bunker.

‘If you read the script, it was that he was guarding his side, I was guarding my side, then we switch sides and then there’s a guy that was coming for him [who] was gonna shoot him in the back, so I shoot him.’

Munn – who previously claimed that a male director tried to ‘ruin’ her chance at movie role – said that apparently ‘he didn’t read the script,’ because he said, ‘Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. She can’t save me. No, no. She can’t save me.’

The star said that the incident caused ’45 minutes of just stopping down’ filming, as her co-star became ‘combative with the director.’

‘There was no insecurity about being obnoxious and everyone hearing this and being like, “She can’t save me! We’re not doing this.”‘

Munn then offered her co-star a solution. 

‘I said, “OK, how about instead of my character saving you, it’s just that we switch because it’s time for us to switch, and so this is my guy to get,” and he was like, “OK.”‘

‘Now, here’s the interesting thing. Nothing changed. It’s just what he thought. I was doing the exact same thing,’ she explained.

Munn also said that she’s been picky about her roles in an effort to avoid sexist stereotypes.

‘I’ve looked at so many different scripts and a lot of times the women are portrayed in kind of a naggy way. I had this thing that I decided at one point early in my career, like, I only wanted to do projects where she would exist even if he didn’t exist. You know, that it wasn’t just his story.’

Munn has appeared in a number of action-packed roles. She played CIA operative Gina Cline in the 2017 History Channel action drama Six, alongside Barry Sloane, Kyle Schmid and Juan Pablo Raba.

She also had a guest role as a CIA agent in Chuck on the NBC action/comedy series.
